ATMIA Committee Overview
Global ATM Security Alliance (GASA) – Mission to employ global security resources in a united alliance in order to protect the ATM industry from criminal activity
Independent ATM Deployers Committee – Mission to provide all independent sales organizations members the opportunity to provide advisory assistance on all ATMIA committees.
ATMIA Denomination Fraud Committee – Mission to provide a forum to enable all sectors to review denomination fraud at ATMs and come together on possible solutions.
ATMIA Currency Resizing Taskforce – Mission to provide a forum for discussion in regards to the court decision to make US currency recognizable to the blind community, and to help the BEP build a position on the impact of this decision on the ATM Industry
Sponsoring Financial Institutions – Mission to provide a forum for the discussion of risk associated with ATM ISO Sponsorship and, with advice from Networks, Processors, ISOs and other industry experts, to determine by consensus the procedures Sponsoring Financial Institutions will recommend their institution implement.
ATMIA Government Relations Committee – Mission to provide a forum to deal with the rising tide of proposed State and Federal legislation to regulate the ATM industry and to keep ATMIA members informed about legislation affecting the ATM industry.
ATMIA Mobile Phone Security Committee – Mission to draft international security best practices for mobile phone banking and payment applications, as well as stay abreast of regulatory developments, facilitate communication between the ATM industry and the mobile phone industry and help prevent mobile phone banking and payment fraud through best practices, education, fraud alerts and, where required, joint industry-law enforcement action
ATM Software Security Committee - Our aim is to encourage the use of security best practices for ATM software worldwide, especially focused on Windows XP platforms for ATMs. Currently drafting Best Practices in parallel to PCI ATM in order to secure and harden the ATM node and system. Once the best practices are completed, they can be held up against PCI standards (both DSS and ATM) and a gap analysis will be conducted
Banking committee - is tasked to create the bank track for Conference East 2010 and to advise ATMIA on member benefits appropriate for bank ATM owners.
Participation in the committees is very important as our members provide us the insight, the word on the street, so that we in turn can better assist you
