View ShowroomKuala Lumpur, & London, 29 May, 2017 – ATMIA, the only international association for the ATM industry, has joined the International Currency Association (ICA).
ATMIA is the leading non-profit trade association representing the entire global ATM industry, serving more than 9,000 members from over 650 participating companies in 67 countries spanning the whole ATM ecosphere, including financial institutions, independent ATM deployers, equipment manufacturers, processors and a plethora of ATM service and value-added solution providers.
Mike Lee, CEO of ATMIA, commented, “In the light of sustained attacks on the role of cash from the anti-cash lobby, our trade association is very happy to join the ICA to ensure that the voice of cash remains as strong as possible. The two associations can share information, exchange contacts, provide speakers for industry events, conduct joint advocacy where needed and even conduct research together.”
The International Currency Association is impressively growing in numbers extending their representation of the currency industry across the globe.
ICA Chairman, Barna Barabas, said: “Cash is already the most socially inclusive payment method, and we are delighted that ATMIA are joining the ICA, as they are pivotal in enabling the distribution of cash across the world, and into local communities. Working together on advocacy and education activities, our joint efforts will only enhance, support and promote currencies worldwide as the most universal and inclusive means of payment.”
