Call For An End To The Charging Of Business Rates At UK Petrol Forecourts.

With bank branches closing around the UK, there is an opportunity for ATMs at petrol forecourts to play an increasingly important role in improving financial inclusion.  Such forecourts often have excellent retail offerings, as well as easy parking.  They are obviously convenient locations for ATMs.  However, the application of Business Rates to ATMs at petrol forecourts threatens to limit the public's access to cash and the other services such ATMs could provide.  

ATMIA Europe and the Petrol Retailers Association have united to call for ATMs at petrol forecourts to be exempt from Business Rates.  Click here to read the full Press Release.
