By ATMmarketplace.comCustomers of Standard Chartered Bank Kenya will soon be able to deposit cash to their accounts at any StanChart ATM in the nation.
The bank is in the process of replacing all ATMs nationwide with units that will accept both U.S. dollars and Kenya shillings, according to a
report by Business Daily Africa.
"We have already deployed 18 CDMs and will add another 17 machines before end of this month," Standard Chartered CEO Lamin Manjang told the publication. "We have started with the high-traffic points in Nairobi and Mombasa but we intend to replace all the 98 ATMs by end of April."
Manjang added that the bank hopes to migrate more than 80 percent of its in branch transactions to digital channels by 2018.
