View ShowroomLondon, United Kingdom & Sioux Falls, SD, USA - ATMIA today looked forward to a positive 2018 for the global ATM industry, calling on its 10,500 strong membership base to get behind its 2018 conferences as part of a growing unity to face the future together, tackling security issues while maximizing the opportunities afforded by the association’s widely supported Consortium for Next Generation ATMs.
“2018 promises to be a turning-point for the worldwide ATM industry,” commented ATMIA’s CEO Mike Lee. “There is huge consensus and momentum behind the future-proofing exercise of the industry’s search for a new model for ATMs in today’s mobile world. At the same time, the industry has no option but to stand together to face down the threats of attack from ATM and cyber criminals.”
Lee has called on the ATM industry to stand together and back the 5 industry events showcased by ATMIA, including its two main European events:
“The consequences of not uniting behind the ATM industry and ATMIA in 2018 will be felt for years to come in terms of lost opportunities and failure to defeat ATM threats,“ Lee warned. “The time to get behind the industry association is NOW. There won’t be another time like this in this generation.”
