Once again this year, RBC leaders are among the recipients of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards. Each year, the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) recognizes Canadian women across various industries for their accomplishments as agents of change and their role in reshaping Canadian organizations. Winners are selected based on their strategic vision and leadership, their organization's financial performance, and their commitment to community.

This year, a number of RBC leaders and one of our board members are recognized:

  • Jacqui Allard, SVP, Head, Strategy Performance and Marketing, Personal & Commercial Banking
  • Dagmara Fijalkowski, Head, Global Fixed Income & Currencies, SVP, Senior Portfolio Manager, RBC Global Asset Management
  • Laurie Pezzente, SVP & CSO, Global Cyber Security, Technology & Operations
  • Alice Laberge, RBC Board of Directors

“Our success is driven by our people and the strength of our diverse and inclusive workplace,” said Dave McKay, President and Chief Executive Officer, RBC. “We’re proud a number of RBC leaders and one of our board members were recognized among this inspiring group of accomplished women. Their bold leadership and contributions bring our core values to life and move our business forward.”

Women comprise almost 60 per cent of RBC’s Canadian workforce and the organization offers a number of industry-leading programs to support and enable their development into leadership roles including RBC’s Women in Leadership program, mentorship programs, and other formal learning and coaching. RBC is also a founding member of the Canadian chapter of the 30% Club, an organization with an aspirational goal of 30 per cent of board seats and C-Suite roles to be held by women by 2022. Women currently comprise 38 per cent of the RBC Board of Directors, including the Chair of the Board.

Past award winners of Canada’s Most Powerful Women award include 19 RBCers, two RBC board members and some of Canada’s most iconic trailblazers: Margaret Atwood, Best-Selling Author; Dr. Roberta Bondar, Astronaut; Arlene Dickinson, CEO, Venture Communications; Christine Magee, President, Sleep Country Canada; Michaëlle Jean, former Governor General of Canada; and Heather Reisman, Founder and CEO, Indigo Books & Music.
