CALIFORNIA

The Senate Appropriations Committee will hold a public hearing April 30 regarding S.B. 1015, which establishes the State Climate Resiliency Program to increase resiliency to climate change impacts in urban and rural communities throughout the state and to fund the planning and implementation of projects that improve and enhance the climate change resiliency of natural systems, natural and working lands, and developed areas and to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases. The Air Quality Control Commission will accept comments until May 1 regarding proposed amendments to rules incorporating the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency New Source Performance Standards and Emission Guide. Amy Cole at [email protected]

The Senate State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee will hold a public hearing May 2 regarding H.B. 1009, which requires drug manufacturers and pharmacy benefit managers to submit annual reports to the State Board of Health regarding drugs used to treat diabetes that are subject to price increases of certain percentages. MISSOURI

The House Transportation Committee will hold a public hearing April 30 regarding S.B. 1050, which repeals provisions of the existing texting while driving statute that relate to noncommercial vehicles and eliminates the exception for the relaying of information between transit or for-hire drivers and their dispatcher when the device used is permanently affixed to the vehicle. The Division of Public and Behavioral Health will hold a public hearing May 4 regarding adopted emergency rules and proposed permanent rules to establish drug overdose reporting requirements. Becky Lukaesko at [email protected]

PENNSYLVANIA

The House Consumer Affairs Committee will hold a public hearing April 30 regarding H.B. 2113, which prohibits health insurers from altering the coverage or premiums included in an insured’s health insurance policy during the policy term when an insured has already received a specific treatment, service or prescription drug.
