CALIFORNIA

The Energy Commission will accept comments until November 2 regarding the development of the 2018 Integrated Energy Policy Report update.

COLORADO

The Division of Insurance will hold a public hearing November 1 regarding proposed changes to network adequacy standards and reporting requirements for Affordable Care Act-compliant health benefit plans.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

The Committee on Business and Economic Development will hold a public hearing October 29 regarding B. 22-904, which increases the renewable portfolio standard of the District to require that by 2032, at least 95% of power generated is from tier one renewable sources, with at least 5% from solar energy.

MARYLAND

The Montgomery County Council President will hold a press conference October 29 to discuss the Council’s continued work on the zoning measure for small cell towers, among other key issues. Peter Finn at [email protected]

The Montgomery County Council has until October 31 to pass an ordinance revising standards for telecommunications towers as conditional uses and allowing them in certain residential zones; revising size and location requirements for cell towers and utility poles; and exempting certain antennas from height limits. The Department of Health will hold a public hearing November 2 regarding adopted emergency amendments and proposed amendments to a rule pertaining to the prescribing of opioids for chronic pain.

WASHINGTON

 

The Joint Select Committee on Health Care Oversight will meet October 30 to receive updates on Medicaid managed care dental, the State Rural Health Access Preservation program, and a telemedicine update from the State Telemedicine Collaborative. The Committee will also be discussing workforce shortages and rural hospital and community data.

The Blockchain Task Force will meet October 29 and 30 to discuss draft legislation relating to blockchain, financial institutions, digital assets, business entities, a financial technology sandbox, real property records, utility agreements and personal information trust services.
