Westpac Group has today announced its intention to reach an agreement with Australia Post to extend its Bank@Post partnership for another three years.

It will aim to provide Westpac Group customers greater access to banking solutions, particularly in regional and rural communities where the need for service is greater.

Under the agreement, Westpac Group customers will continue to have access to more than 3,500 Bank@Post post offices for their banking needs, in addition to doing their banking in-branch, online or over-the-phone.

George Frazis, Chief Executive, Westpac Consumer Bank said: “We are committed to providing quality services for our customers however they choose to bank, now and in the future.

“As part of this, we continually review our services to ensure they meet the changing needs of communities across Australia.

“We want to extend our partnership with Australia Post to provide our customers with more choice and flexibility with their banking.

“This will ensure our customers in regional and rural communities will continue to have access to over-the-counter banking services, like deposits, withdrawals and balance enquiries,” Mr. Frazis said.

Customers across the Westpac Group, including Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA, can also continue to access cash through any major bank ATM at no cost.
