Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Didier Van Not as General Manager, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), effective immediately.

Reporting to Westpac Institutional Bank Chief Executive, Lyn Cobley, Didier’s appointment follows last month’s announcement of Michael Correa as General Manager Asia Pacific to her leadership team.

Commenting on the appointment, Lyn Cobley said: “Both Didier and Michael have been with Westpac for many years so this reflects the leadership strength and depth of talent among our own ranks.

“These appointments follow an extensive external and internal recruitment process. The market for the relatively fewer senior banking roles remains highly competitive so it is great to see the calibre of our internal talent shine through,” she said.

Didier has been with Westpac for 17 years and, during this time, has held a diverse range of positions in WIB from his current role as Managing Director, Head of Trade, Asset & Structured Finance and prior to that in roles in Project and Acquisition Finance, Infrastructure and Utilities, and Energy and Resources.

As Chair of Westpac Group’s Climate Change Solutions Committee, Didier also has responsibility for driving Westpac’s sustainability strategy and Climate Change Action Plan
