ATMIA to Speak at World Bank Conference

Graham McKay, ATMIA Europe’s Executive Director, has been invited to speak at a World Bank conference called “EXPLORING FRONTIEERS IN PAYMENT SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT” to be held on May 29-31 in Washington, D.C, USA. Graham will be part of a panel discussing “THE ROLE OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES TO ENHANCE ACCESS TO THE PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE.”

REMINDER: CGAP Technology Program Round II Deadline

After an initial round of applications, CGAP's Technology Program, supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, is developing nine innovative projects that will test how technologies like mobile phones and satellite communications can expand access to financial services for some of the world's poorest people. A second round of applications is underway. We are looking for ambitious ideas. CGAP offers strategic and technical advice, funding, and in-depth research to support selected pilots, and successful applicants will get assistance to develop a business plan.
