ATMIA Africa is negotiating the development of payment network governance principles and best practices for emerging African markets with key players. This will be discussed at the conference with the World Bank, SA Reserve Bank and Bankserv. The other important industry issue to be discussed at the conference will be the possible launch of Banknote Watch South Africa, which will explore how best to optimise banknote degradation technology to act as a significant deterrent against ATM crime.
