ATMIA Middle East

ATMIA is ending 2007 by launching the final chapter in the
association’s 7 year global expansion. ATMIA Middle East
(http://atmia.com/middleeast/) will be launched at “Middle Eastern ATMs” in Dubai on 3rd – 4th December 2007 at the Crowne Plaza hotel. The first chapter established outside USA was ATMIA Europe in 2000, followed by chapters in Canada, Australia, Africa, Asia, Latin America and, finally, the Middle East.

The new chapter includes members such as:

Hemaia Group
ABANA Enterprises Group Co.

The launch will coincide with the Middle East Conference in Dubai 3rd – 4th December 2007 at the Crowne Plaza hotel. Speakers at the conference are from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, and a number of key organisations supporting the Middle East will also provide regional insights.

The conference will be held in conjunction with RBR, whose research has confirmed this region as one of the fastest growing regions in the world, but with fascinating similarities and differences.

The conference will focus on the future growth, technologies and functionalities which may be introduced to promote growth, and security concerns which, if not addressed, may inhibit growth.

PO Box 452 – Brookings, SD 57006 USA

As an independent, non-profit trade association, ATMIA's mission is: to promote ATM convenience, growth
and usage worldwide; to protect the ATM industry’s assets, interests, good name and public trust; and to provide
education, best practices, political voice and networking opportunities for member organizations. ATMIA is the
world’s only international trade body for the ATM industry with more than 1000 members in about 50 countries.
In June 2003, ATMIA established the Global ATM Security Alliance (GASA) (www.globalasa.com) with the
mission to employ global security resources in a united alliance in order to protect the ATM industry from criminal
activity. GASA publishes international security lifecycle best practices and manages a global ATM crime
data management system called Cognito, which includes an online fraud library.
