Triton to Release New ATM Communications Language Jan. 1

More Flexibility and Control Available withTriton Dynamic Language TM

LONG BEACH, MS — The next generation in ATM communications language is on its way.
Triton Systems of Delaware, Inc., a trusted leader in ATM affordability and service for over 30 years, announces that we will be releasing Triton Dynamic Language TM (TDLTM) by January 1, 2010.
TDL will supersede the Triton Standard Communications Protocol and Message Format that is used by the majority of ATM manufacturers and processors to operate off-premise ATMs. TDL is more flexible, gives processors more control over the ATM and can be used to easily create custom applications.
TDL is a superset of Triton Standard with additional functionality. TDL is backwards compatible with Triton Standard version 5.41 so that processors that currently support Triton Standard will be able to support TDL-equipped ATMs. However, to support the flexible new interface and many new features included in TDL, processors will need to make extensions to their device handlers. Similarly, Triton ATMs in the field can continue to run their existing software or they can be updated with new software to take advantage of the additional features provided by TDL.
“TDL is a radical departure from Triton Standard; it is going to revolutionize the way off-premise ATMs operate,” said Bob Douglas, Triton Director of Engineering.
“With customers’ needs changing and the demands for more transaction types increasing, TDL will allow off-premise ATMs to better meet the needs of their customers,” continues Douglas.” Some of the possibilities with TDL include the ability to define screen, receipt and transaction flow based on a specific customer's card and transaction information; to be able to configure changes to the ATM remotely through the host; and to create custom applications for the ATM without extensive development.”
TDL will be licensed to ATM manufacturers on a royalty basis. Previous releases of Triton Standard, up to version 5.41, will continue to be available to ATM manufactures under a royalty-free license agreement.
For more information about licensing TDL or about creating custom applications to meet your customers’ needs, please contact Bob Douglas at bob.douglas@triton.com.
