Best Practices Preventing Denomination Fraud:
A white paper has been created by Solvport, “Fraud in the ATM Industry” to address the origin of denomination fraud and what we can do as an industry to protect ourselves from this act. Below you will find both a brief synopsis of what safeguards and resources are available to enhance your security.

o         Incorporate pass-code “must” change into your already established procedures for:
    - ATM installation
    - Each and every service visit
    - Cash Management visit
    - Employee termination
o         Limit access for those individuals who do have access to your ATM pass-codes.
          ATM Manufacturers
o         No posting of Manufacturer Default Pass-code to be published.
o         Software upgrades are now available to force ATM owners to change manufacturer default pass-code. Please, reference the attached pdf document for the specific software versions available. Contact your ATM manufacturer with any questions you may have regarding the process for loading the software. [Insert spreadsheet link, amber can you please convert to pdf]
