![]() Membership Introduction
ATMIA believes that retention of existing members is even more important than recruiting new members. The association’s goal is to build up a foundation of 1,000 loyal members. A Member Loyalty Plan in two phases was developed by the staff of ATMIA and ATMIA Conferences LLC in June 2003 and formally approved by the LLC Management Committee.
1. Phase One of the Member Loyalty Plan
The number of conference discounts available to members who renew membership will be increased from 2 to 3 during the 3rd year of membership, then up to 4 in the 4th year of membership, then to 5 in the 5th year of membership, and so on up to a maximum of 10 discounts in the 10th year. (The discounts are interchangeable in that any employee of the member company in any part of the world may be eligible for a discount.)
2. Phase Two of the Member Loyalty Plan
An annual award will be introduced from 2004 for the Most Influential Member, in both individual and company categories.
3. Summary of Member Loyalty Benefits
3.1 Cumulative Loyalty Benefits
During the second year of membership, and every year of membership thereafter, an additional member contact may be added to the ATMIA membership database
During the third year of membership, the number of company discounts to ATMIA events will increase from two to three conference discounts, followed by one additional conference discount for every year of membership thereafter up to a maximum of 10 conference discounts
From the third year of membership, the name of the company will be listed in a Loyal Member Roll in the ATMIA Post, on ATMIA websites and in conference workbooks

4.1 Cumulative Loyalty Benefits
ATMIA’s International Director of Operations will approach member companies at the time of annual renewal to ask for the contact details of the additional member names and then add the additional member to the database
As ATMIA members register for its events, staff of ATMIA Conferences LLC will check on the membership database the date and year when the members joined the association and work out how many years they have been members, in order to determine how many discounts that company may have for the event
ATMIA’s International Director of Operations will update and maintain a Loyal Member database and listing, to be posted on all websites, published in the ATMIA Post and supplied to ATMIA Conferences staff for inclusion in conference workbooks
