ATMIA Information Alert: Card Trapping

Please see the association's information alert on a rising threat to ATMs, namely, Card Trapping, an old and familiar modus operandi which is becoming a top method of attack now as criminals and fraudsters return to less sophisticated attacks as skimming decreases and many black box attack fail due to robust defences and security solutions.

This joint ATMIA and ATM Security Association information alert describes the nature of this threat and outlines the best ways to defend the ATM through recommended best practices.
