Hassan has over 25 years of experience in banking technology, business and operations. Prior to joining Boubyan Bank in 2012, he was the CIO for HSBC in Egypt for 5 years, and worked for 15 years as a Banking Technology Consultant with Accenture and Logica, driving change and delivering large scale projects to banks in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt.


Francesco Burelli, Partner, Innovalue

Francesco has 19 years of experience in the areas of strategy, M&A, regulatory impact assessments and performance improvement. Francesco is a cards, payments and transaction banking expert. Before consulting, he worked at Midland Bank, later HSBC. Francesco is a Fellow at the Institute of Financial Services (UK), and holds an MBA in International Business amongst many other qualifications.

Alan leads the research in the RBR’s Global EPOS and Self- Checkout study, covering 52 markets worldwide in four segments. His banking analysis work has encompassed various fields of study including ATMs, payment cards, deposit automation and teller automation across markets such as the UAE and Egypt. Alan has 14 years of market research experience, having previously worked for Millward Brown.

He joined Transguard in 2010 and has a diverse background, having spent his career in the oil and gas, financial services and B2B sectors across several continents. 


Mucahit Gundebahar, CIO, Kuveyt Türk

Mucahit has more than 15 years of IT experience in banking and finance, and worked for Microsoft Turkey as Senior Application Development Consultant before joining Kuwait Turkish Bank as Enterprise Architecture and R&D Department Manager. Currently he is IT Group Manager (CIO) at Kuwait Turkish Bank, leading critical R&D projects.


Bo Holmgreen, SVP and GM, Cash Management Solutions, NCR 

Bo was the Founder, President and CEO of Transoft International Inc., a leading provider of currency supply chain management software solutions for the banking, ATM and armoured car industries.  In late 2012, Holmgreen sold Transoft International to NCR Corporation, and joined NCR as Vice President & General Manager of Cash Solutions.


Amber Howell, Manager, Training, Web Content and Social Media, ATMIA

Amber Howell joined ATMIA in 2004 as a Marketing Assistant, was promoted to a Marketing Manager in 2006 and then to Website Content & Social Media Manager in 2012 and is currently the Training, Web Content & Social Media Manager. She focuses on marketing for ATMIA through the website and social media. She also manages the newly launched ATMIA Academy and the ATM Operators training. Prior to joining ATMIA she has worked within the Banking Industry for 5 years.

AbdelRaouf joined Banque Misr as Retail Banking Operations, General Manager in 2009. Previously he was the General Manager of Smart Cards Applications Company and has 29 years of experience in the cards and retail banking industries. He has maintained key positions in several leading regional and international institutions, including National Commercial Bank (NCB), Citibank Egypt and MasterCard International.


Karan Kapur, Assistant General Manager, Retail Banking Group, Burgan Bank 

Karan is Assistant General Manager of Retail Banking at Burgan Bank Kuwait and heads Alternative Delivery Channels & Direct Sales for the bank. Prior to Burgan, Karan was VP & Head of Business Intelligence for Mashreq Bank in Dubai, and also worked for ANZ, in India, Australia and Europe.

Martin has 30 years of experience managing large scale projects and solution implementation in the financial industry. Over the course of his 12-year career in Diebold, Martin has held various international roles.


Aravinda Korala, CEO, KAL ATM Software

Following a degree in Electronics at King's College London and a PhD in Computer Vision at Edinburgh University, Aravinda worked with PA Technology and Coopers and Lybrand before founding KAL in 1989. Aravinda is recognised for his in-depth knowledge of ATM software throughout the industry and has led KAL in the delivery of software to blue-chip customers across the world.

Artur is IT Solutions Sales Manager and product manager at BS/2. He has over 6 years’ experience in the IT field, including more than 3 years in banking software solutions. His expertise is proved by successful sales of ATM security, monitoring and integration solutions in 67 countries all over the world.


Claudio Lo Piccolo, Head of Project Management and Software Development, Sikelia Service

Claudio has working experience in a number of different environments, including seven years as an independent professional and eight years as an entrepreneur of a small business. Claudio has worked for Sikelia since 2007, managing projects’ resources. He is involved in all facets of the projects, including planning and control, accounting, support to sales, and project designing for SME financing.


Abid Musharaf, ATM Channel Manager, Mashreq Bank

Abid leads the regional ATM and CCDM fleets for Mashreq Bank covering UAE, Qatar and Egypt. He joined Mashreq in 2008 and has vast experience in managing the ATM business, cards and payments, driving innovative solutions, multi-channel integration, compliance, cost optimization and migrating customers from traditional banking to electronic channels.


Seun Owoeye, Head of Instant Payments and Switching Services, Nigeria Interbank Settlement Systems

Seun has over 12 years’ experience in payment terminal deployment and management, and electronic and mobile payments operations within the financial services industry. He is currently the Head, Instant Payments Operations and Switching Services Unit of NIBSS, which processes over 200,000 daily instant funds transfers. Seun holds an MSc in Computer Systems and a Masters in Business Administration.
