Title

Africa Banking Country Profiles - Focus on Tanzania

Description

The ATMIA Africa Regulatory Liaison Committee has been working to create retail banking profiles for various countries across Africa. In this webinar we will be sharing a presentation of our findings for Tanzania. Danford Mbilinyi, CEO at Umoja Switch in Tanzania, will be joining us and sharing his views based on his knowledge and experience in the Tanzanian banking sector.

These ATMIA country profiles provide an interesting overview of the current economic and banking environment in the country and show the uptake of emerging banking services across traditional and mobile banking channels.

In this discussion we will be focusing on Tanzania (a country with a population of over 50 million and significant mobile banking uptake) to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented in this country.

Chaired by: Michael Lee (CEO ATMIA) and Andrew Dean (ATMIA Executive Director, Africa and Middle East) .
Guest panelist: Danford Mbilinyi, CEO, Umoja Switch, Tanzania
