ANZ appoints Peter Chan as CEO Hong Kong

Mr. Chan is currently CEO Taiwan at ANZ. Since joining the bank in 2008 he has held a number of senior roles in Australia and Asia, including CEO Philippines, and helped establish the Corporate and Institutional business in Hong Kong.

Farhan Faruqui, Group Executive, International, said: “Hong Kong is key to ANZ’s International network and our efforts to support trade and capital flows in the region.

“I am confident that with his strong leadership and significant international experience, Peter will be a tremendous asset to our customers and a great contributor to the growth of our Hong Kong business.”

Subject to regulatory approval, Mr Chan will commence the new role in January 2020, based in Hong Kong.
