Update From Sandra Smith – December 2022

The Gen ATM and Payments Sydney Event concluded last week. This event was an enormous success, with delegates praising the quality of speakers and networking opportunities provided by the region's first in-person event in nearly four years. Over two days, we heard from experts and thought leaders, who shared with us the major trends and opportunities that will define the future success of our industry. Panel Discussion

This session was successfully chaired by Mangala Martinus- MD- Payment Consulting Network
A panel discussion comprising four industry experts discussing the future of ATMs and abroad. This session included an insight into the need for industry collaboration and the challenges in making large infrastructure changes to keep up with technology and customer preferences. 

The key message we all took from this conference is that cash remains a critical payment method that will not be going away. 

Cash will continue to play a foundational role in our payment system, and while new trends and technologies may come and go, cash has the security and reliability to continue to provide millions of Australians the option to remain their preferred payment method.
