ATM banking services to return to North Caicos

Tuesday, July 16, 2019

Company: CIBC

THE GOVERNMENT is working to reintroduce an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) to assist with banking services in North and Middle Caicos.

North Caicos parliamentary representative Hon. Ralph Higgs this week announced that the ATM will be provided by CIBC First Caribbean International Bank, and is expected to return to the twin islands on or before August 31.

Commenting on the return of service to the islands, Higgs said: "It’s been a long time coming.

"However, as the representative, I am pleased with the Government’s commitment to see banking services in all of our islands, and also the bank’s reassurance and pledge to serve our people and communities.”

He added that the TCIG is actively working to ensure that the necessary and crucial service is adequately available to residents in all islands.

Larry Lawrence, CIBC’s country head for the TCI, said on Thursday (July 11) that no comment regarding this development will be issued at this time.

However, a formal statement from the bank will be released shortly.
