The 50th Anniversary ATM Innovation Awards From The ATMIA
A Chance to Have YOUR Say!
Who could have imagined that John Shepherd-Barron’s invention, which debuted on 27 June 1967, would be as successful as it has turned out to be?
As we prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the installation of the world’s first ATM, with 3 million of the machines already operational and more being installed every day, it is definitely time to look forward, rather than back.
In the last 50 years, there have been many innovations that improved the customer experience of ATM use. Here are just some:
- National and international card networks
- Full colour screens
- Touch screens
- New transaction sets
- Customer selection of cash denominations
- Contactless transactions
- Cardless transactions
- Talking ATMs
We will all have our opinions on what have been the most significant innovations to date.
But what of the promising innovations yet to be fully adopted or, perhaps, still in their early development stage?
Here is your chance to give YOUR views.
The ATMIA is surveying all our thousands of members around the world to ask them to nominate their choice of the THREE most promising innovations likely to have a significant positive impact on the ATM customer experience in the next decade.
The innovations can be Hardware or Software. It is for YOU to choose. Remember, this is your personal view. We are not asking you to nominate on behalf of the organisation for which you work.
The three most popular innovations nominated by our members will be honoured by the ATMIA, with awards presented to the relevant innovators at a Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony, to be held in London on June 12 2017.
All ATMIA members will receive an email inviting them to participate in this initiative - but you do not have to wait!
Please make your nominations by using the online form provided here, by close of play on Friday 24 March 2017.
Please do not miss this opportunity to participate. Your views matter to the ATMIA - and they will count towards the choice of winners of these important industry awards.
