ATMIA Announces New Cash Promotion Category for Third Annual ATMmys Marketing Awards Competition

|
ATMIA is pleased to announce the addition of a new category, Cash Promotion, to the third annual ATMmys. This new section will review and reward advertising campaigns focused on the positive promotion of cash and its use. Promotions in this category can be digital, content, or video and will be reviewed by ATMIA’s own CEO, Mike Lee.
The ATMmys is an annual marketing awards competition presented by the ATMIA International Marketing Forum (IMF) and dedicated to recognizing the hard work and creativity required to promote cash and ATM products and services to businesses and consumers worldwide.
In addition to the new Cash Promotions category, the contest will also accept entries for the usual categories of Digital, Content and Video. These submissions will be evaluated by a team of impartial judges with extensive experience in marketing, design, and journalism. Judges are set to be announced for each category in the coming months.
First, second and third place awards will be presented in all three categories. Winners will be announced at the 2021 ATMIA US Conference, April 28-30, 2021, in Las Vegas, NV and online. First place winners will be invited to present their campaign in a follow-up IMF webinar post-show.

“Next Gen ATM User Interface and Metrics” Best Practices
To mark the milestone of launching the certification system for Next Gen ATMs, which enable customers to transact at ATMs via their mobile bank apps, ATMIA today published its “Next Gen ATM User Interface and Metrics” best practices. The aim of the new industry manual is guide ATM operators, vendors and service-providers to measure how to maximize the customer experience and interface at Next Gen ATMs.
“After over 50 years of reliable service to cardholders, the ATM has now geared up to enable customers to transact through their mobile devices instead of using plastic cards, providing for faster, pre-staged app-based cash withdrawals and deposits, and, increasingly in future, cash-to-cryptocurrency or crypto-currency-to-cash exchanges,” explained Mike Lee, CEO of ATMIA and Chairperson of the Consortium for Next Gen ATMs, which now has more than 400 participating companies in 55 countries. “Enhancing the customer experience at ATMs has been a driving force behind the development of the Next Gen ATM ecosystem and blueprint, with its combination of vendor-agnostic standards or provider-specific interfaces.”
The report, made up of eight chapters plus a Glossary and list of recommended resources, retails at $250 for ATMIA members and $600 for non-members and is available for download here.
