Grass roots activity in the effort to require that consumers have the right to pay with cash continues to be very strong. Just two weeks ago, Tennessee became the 8th state to pass legislation requiring that retail establishments accept cash for in-person transactions. The new year has brought along with it many other prospective bills that are making progress – Arizona, Illinois, Kentucky, Montana, Maine, Missouri, New York, both North and South Carolina, Ohio, and Oklahoma.

The ATMIA USA Cashless Ban’d Wagon map is completely updated and can be found on the ATMIA USA region home page.
