Just two weeks ago, Tennessee became the 8th state to pass legislation requiring that retail establishments accept cash for in-person transactions. The new year has brought along with it many other prospective bills that are making progress – Arizona, Illinois, Kentucky, Montana, Maine, Missouri, New York, both North and South Carolina, Ohio, and Oklahoma.
