Phoenix, 2017 - BMO Harris Bank recognized three local women at the BMO Celebrating Women morning program event held in Phoenix this month, which honored women leaders in their communities in the following categories: Women Who Lead, Women Who Serve and Women Who Inspire.

The breakfast event held by BMO recognized the following honorees:

Women Who Lead: Cynthia Reed. Reed is an Army veteran who served until 1999 when she ventured into becoming a consultant for the Department of Defense and the companies that served it. In 2007, Reed began an organization with only five employees called MIRACORP. Today, MIRACORP has more than 2,000 employees working on a variety of contracts across the country for the federal government. In 2014, she was named Arizona Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Women Who Serve: Robyn Julien. Julien joined the Arizona Burn Foundation in 2015, which provides a survivor support program that helps children and adults cope with devastating psychological and physical effects of severe burn injuries. Julien not only has served as the CEO of the foundation for the past two years, but she has also helped develop a new burn prevention program for children called "Milo and Moxie," which has gained national attention and is strongly supported by first responders, hospitals and schools.

Women Who Inspire: Dr. Janelle Perrin. For the past 15 years, Perrin has been working in the Cave Creek Unified School District, teaching Adapted Physical Education and coordinating the Traumatic Brain Injury Program. With the support of Special Olympics Arizona and the school administration, she integrated a program called Project Unify into Cactus Shadow High School, which uses sports and education to activate youth to be agents of change promoting respect, dignity, and advocacy. The school has proudly been identified as Special Olympics Unified Champion School for the past eight years. Perrin is recognized as 2015 Arizona Adapted PE Teacher of the Year and as the 2017 Cave Creek Unified School District Teacher of the Year.

“These three incredible women have dedicated their lives to leading important initiatives and making their communities stronger and inspiring to those around them,” said Susan Hasenstein, Retail Banking Market President, Sunbelt, BMO Harris Bank. "These women have taken huge strides in their careers, in business, and in moving our youth and communities forward."
