Changes in Portuguese consumption habits - 365 days of pandemic

On the day that marks a year on the declaration of the first State of Emergency in Portugal, SIBS releases a complete report on the evolution of consumption in Portugal in the last 365 days and according to the various phases of evolution of the pandemic of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our country. The document - comprehensive, factual and as updated as possible - is based on data from SIBS Analytics and includes a set of unique and unprecedented indicators that allows understanding the real consequences of the pandemic in several aspects. The analysis shows 3 phases: “1st confinement”, with a marked reduction in consumption; “Phases of restrictions”, with a progressive recovery; and “2nd confinement”, with a further drop in the volume of transactions.
