Evolve Bank & Trust announced it has renewed the title sponsorship of the Cooper Young Festival through 2021. The Evolve Bank & Trust Cooper Young Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2019. In its 32nd year, this event has grown tremendously and is one of Memphis' most highly attended festivals. Over 130,000 guests will enjoy an appealing mix of art, music and crafts presented by over 435 artisans from around the country. The Evolve Bank & Trust Cooper Young Festival is a true celebration of the arts, people, culture and Memphis heritage.
“Since 2013, Evolve has been a proud sponsor of the Cooper Young Festival, and we are thrilled to extend our commitment through 2021,” said Scott Stafford, CEO and President of Evolve Bank & Trust. “The historically hip Cooper Young neighborhood is a crown jewel in the city of Memphis. We are honored to contribute to its growth and celebrate its diversity.”
“Evolve is the best community partner any festival could ask for, and we are extremely grateful for their renewed sponsorship,” said Tamara Cook, Executive Director of the Cooper Young Business Association (CYBA). “Year after year, Evolve brings more to the table, and we could not keep the CYBA thriving without their support.”
The CYBA hosts this one and only fundraiser for the area to make the District known locally, nationally, and to draw homeowners and merchants into the neighborhood. The proceeds from the Festival are reinvested back into the infrastructure of the neighborhood, business websites and community nonprofit organizations. Home to over 187 independently owned businesses in Memphis; Cooper Young is home grown, locally led and community raised.
