Florida community bank ATM to dispense cash bonuses during downtown event

An undetermined number of lucky ATM users at the downtown branch of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank will receive a windfall with their cash withdrawal on Friday. 

The bank announced in a press release that it will mix a number of $50 bills in with $20 bank notes in the ATM cassette. 

The $50s will be dispensed at random during the monthly River District Alliance ArtWalk on Friday, Dec. 7, in Sanibel, Florida.

"As the only downtown community bank, we take pride in being part of all the downtown activity and events," Lee Golden, senior vice president and director of retail operations at the bank, said in the release. "Giving some extra cash to people who are participating in all that our River District has to offer is just another way we can contribute and have some fun at the same time. We often hear of other bank ATM malfunctions where extra money is accidentally disbursed, but that's not the case here!"
