View ShowroomThere is always that bit of awkwardness when you start a new job. While your coworkers are immediately diving into their work day (with or without the assistance of caffeine), as the newbie, you're just trying to figure out how to get your email, remember everyone's name and try not to delete anything important (fortunately, that hasn't happened yet).
Stepping into the role of editor of ATM Marketplace, a landmark publication founded in 1997, just as the COVID-19 virus is taking hold, eliminates any new job jitters. Team members at Networld Media Group are busy checking sources, talking to companies and working hard to report on the many changes happening worldwide across multiple industries.
What's a newbie to do? I rolled up my sleeves and immediately got to work to find out how this health situation is affecting vendors, financial institutions and IADs in the ATM industry.
I understand that while there's a lot of information being shared throughout the world, there are also a lot of questions regarding the future.
The good news? This isn’t my first rodeo. I've been an editor and writer for over 25 years, and I’ve covered my share of groundbreaking events. I understand the importance of keeping readers informed and sorting out the fact from fiction.
I look to you to keep me posted on how you and your company are working through the current situation. Share your questions, concerns and challenges and feel free to contact me with ideas, trends and products that will certainly be developed as problem-solving continues to evolve.
There is an old Chinese saying, may you live in interesting times. As the financial landscape continues to ebb and flow, I believe we are all living in interesting times. Let's work together to help this industry remain informed and strong.
I look forward to hearing from you.
