Everlink is pleased to announce that Kawartha Credit Union, Healthcare & Municipal Employees’ Credit Union and Motor City Community Credit Union have all signed agreements to participate in the Everlink Debit Mastercard program. Given the steady rise in eCommerce transactions, international travel, and a need for online account accessibility through web and mobile platforms, each of these credit unions was motivated to provide their members with the many benefits a Debit Mastercard has to offer. And since they all share a common Fiserv DNA banking platform hosted by Celero, it was particularly effective for the three credit unions to collaborate with each other along with Everlink to implement the Everlink Debit Mastercard Program.
The Everlink Debit Mastercard program opens the door to several new ways members can use their debit cards. It allows members to shop in-store or online, complete ATM withdrawals both within and outside of Canada, as well as obtain a cashback option at point-of-sale (where merchants allow) – all of this, anywhere in the world, wherever Mastercard is accepted, proving the Mastercard Debit Card to be a true all-purpose, multi-use, convenience card.

In addition to providing their members with payment convenience, each credit union was determined to ensure all member transactions would be safe and secure. This is why each selected Everlink’s eSCORE™ fraud solution and 3D Secure Authentication Service. eSCORE™, an award-winning fraud solution, is the next generation of fraud monitoring tools designed to target fraud risks associated with both face‐to‐face and eCommerce (Card-Not-Present) debit card transactions. In addition, a new cryptocurrency model is planned to be released later this year to further secure this channel. 3D Secure Authentication Service provides a data-sharing pipeline between merchants and issuers, giving issuers an opportunity to authenticate cardholders before merchants commit to processing a transaction. This additional authentication protocol allows for more trusted transaction processing as more fraud can be detected and prevented within the eCommerce space.
