Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating a series of ATM thefts in Jackson County. In two incidents, video footage caught individuals entering businesses and stealing ATMs, according to a report by Fox 4.

The criminals have targeted liquor stores, nightclubs and other businesses.

Jack Taylor, a police officer in Independence, Missouri, recommended stores secure ATMs to the wall or floor as well as install good quality security cameras.

"If you have a business, it's not just having the video. It's having quality video that we can pull details from and that we can see," Taylor told the news outlet. "We've got pictures we can look at and we can identify people from."
