Paragon Named ATMIA's Member of the Month for July 2018

Things move so fast these days. Most of us are constantly heads down, working on the next project, then next mandate, then next deadline. It seems that there's hardly time to take a spare breath.

Given that we are all so busy, it was nice to get a note from David Tente, Executive Director, USA & Americas for ATMIA, advising us that Paragon has been named July's Member of the Month for ATMIA’s US chapter

For those of you who are not familiar with ATMIA, its mission is “to promote ATM convenience, growth and usage worldwide; to protect the ATM industry's assets, interests, good name and public trust; and to provide education, best practices, political voice and networking opportunities for member organization.” ATMIA plays a vital role, helping to ensure that the ATM channel remains relevant, competitive and financial viable.

One of the more interesting initiatives that ATMIA is working on is the Consortium for Next Generation ATMs. Starting with just a handful of companies, there are now more than 150 organizations from across the globe participating in this collaborative effort to define and implement the Next Gen ATM architecture.

I am pleased to say that Paragon has been involved with the consortium since the very beginning and was one of the original responders to the Industry RFI that ATMIA published back in early 2017. For nearly 25 years, we have been helping the ATM industry manage the massive changes that have taken place and we definitely plan to support the industry as we transition to the Next Generation ATM architecture.

Our work on the Next Gen consortium may have contributed to Paragon being selected as “Member of the Month.” As with most industry associations much of the participation is voluntary. So, time spent researching information, reviewing documents and providing input is largely done in everyone’s “spare” time.  It’s not always easy for the team members to find the extra minutes and hours to get these things done, but the collective effort is critical to the ongoing viability of our industry.

Like so many others in the Next Gen initiative, we want to do everything we can to ensure the continued success of the ATM channel and we appreciate this latest recognition from the folks at ATMIA.

Oh, and congratulations to France too!
