Two suspects entered a bank branch in Las Vegas, NV, and demanded cash. They received over $90,000 but also unknowingly took two Cash Tracker™ devices. Police used data from the Cash Tracker and ultimately apprehended both suspects and recovered all the stolen cash. They also discovered the suspects’ car was a stolen vehicle. |

On May 8, a lone male in his late twenties entered a beauty store in Avon, CT, armed with a handgun. He removed a large amount of products including high-end fragrances and an ORC Tracker™. He fled on foot and then got into a vehicle and drove to Hartford, CT. Our Tracking Support Center worked with the local police to locate the car and police pursued. They ultimately deployed spike mats and the tires of the vehicle were disabled. Despite this, the suspect aggressively continued to evade police. He rammed two police vehicles then exited his car and fled on foot with a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic pistol, but officers cornered him at gunpoint. Police discovered that the suspect was wanted on six active felony warrants including robbery, theft, various assaults and two FBI warrants for organized retail theft and organized crime. He is also a suspect in several shootings in Hartford and a homicide in NYC. |

Dollar Store – Rochester, NY – May 3
A lone suspect broke into a dollar store just after midnight. After breaking the front door glass, he entered the store, forced open the cigarette case and stole 97 cigarette packs and a Tobacco Tracker™. Police were immediately notified and quickly tracked and arrested the suspect. All the stolen items were recovered. The suspect is a career felon who is on parole for offenses against a child. Police credit the arrest to Tobacco Tracker and believe the case would have been unsolved if the 3SI tracker hadn’t been involved. |

Bank – Calgary, AB, Canada – May 5
A disguised male suspect entered a bank branch and tendered a holdup note that stated: “Stay calm, give me all your money or I’ll take your life.” A teller complied and took some cash out of a CDU and slipped it into an envelope along with a Cash Tracker™. The suspect fled in the same taxi he’d arrived in. He was dropped off a short distance from the branch and continued to flee on foot. Uniformed officers used the tracking data from the Cash Tracker to locate and arrest the suspect. He had changed his clothing, but the stolen cash and Cash Tracker were recovered from his pocket. Luckily, Cash Tracker can’t be outsmarted by a clothing change. |

Pharmacy – Houston, TX – May 11
A lone suspect broke into a pharmacy at around 3:40 a.m. He gained access to the stock of narcotics but in doing so, he unknowingly activated the PharmaTracker®. Police quickly responded and the suspect, hearing the sirens, fled but left all the stolen meds as well as his vehicle on-site. The meds were tagged and the vehicle was taken away to be processed for DNA and fingerprints. Because police were notified and responded so quickly, no stolen drugs made it into the community. Police hope to make an arrest using the forensic evidence recovered from the car. |

Pawn Store – Corpus Christi, TX – May 12
Two suspects entered a pawn store and stole a large amount of jewelry. They also unknowingly stole a Jewelry Tracker™, which detected the crime and alerted police. The police tracked and arrested both criminals and recovered all the stolen merchandise. |

Big Box Store – Phoenix, AZ – May 20
Four suspects broke into a warehouse club / big box store at around 4AM. They eventually broke into the jewelry display and stole rings as well as other jewelry items. In their haste, they didn’t realize they’d also stolen a Jewelry Tracker™. The suspects fled and police were logged in and tracking…they apprehended all four suspects and recovered all of the stolen merchandise. |

Big Box Store – Gilbert, AZ – May 22
At about 5:40AM, a big box store had a burglary in an attached, enclosed storage area secured with a padlock. The lock was cut to gain access and 29 vehicle batteries of various brands were removed. The burglars unknowingly also stole a Car Battery Tracker™ which alerted the local PD. They tracked using the data from the tracking device and eventually located the suspects, one man and one woman. Via a license plate check, their car was identified as having been stolen, and police could see the stolen car batteries as well as a pair of bolt cutters in the car. When finally searched, the suspects were also found to have drugs and drug paraphernalia on them. Both were arrested and all the stolen inventory was recovered. |

Convenience Store – Washington, DC – May 24
A lone suspect broke into a convenience store early one morning and stole cigarettes as well as the entire cash register. Luckily, there was a Tobacco Tracker™ hidden with the cigarettes which alerted police to the crime. Police tracked and arrested the criminal and recovered all the stolen items. |
