SHAZAM recognized for volunteerism by United Way of Central Iowa

SHAZAM’s volunteerism was recently highlighted at the United Way of Central Iowa’s annual LIVE UNITED Awards. The awards recognize individuals and organizations that are improving lives through their exceptional efforts giving, advocating, and volunteering for those in our community who need help. This year, SHAZAM was recognized in both categories for our endeavors in 2019.

Congratulations to our own Morgan Johnson, chair of SHAZAM’s United Way team, on winning the Trail-Blazer award. Morgan was honored for her hard work, dedication and creativity in leading SHAZAM’s 2019 United Way campaign efforts. The Trail-Blazer award recognizes one person who went above and beyond to make their 2019 United Way workplace campaign successful. This award focuses on the “boots-on-the-ground" people, and for SHAZAM, that was Morgan.

We’re also pleased to announce that SHAZAM has won the Game-Changer award. We were chosen because our wonderful employees thoughtfully increased their giving by 20% in just one year! This award honors three organizations for their dedication, innovation and success in giving through the 2019 United Way campaign.

At SHAZAM, our culture is one of contribution and caring. We have also extended our volunteer paid time off to allow employees to assist with community efforts affecting those currently most in need. SHAZAM employees are lending their talents to our communities in a variety of ways, and we are so proud of the amazing work they do!
