ARKANSAS

The Introduction Deadline for both appropriation and non-appropriation bills is February 28.

COLORADO

The Crossover Deadline is March 2.

FLORIDA

The Senate Committee Deadline is March 1.

HAWAII

The First Decking, which is the First Chamber Committee Deadline is March 4.

ILLINOIS

The House Crossover Deadline is March 4.

INDIANA

February 28 is the last day for the House to consider Senate bills.

March 1 is the last day for Senate to consider House bills.

KENTUCKY

The House Introduction Deadline is March 1.

The Senate Introduction Deadline is March 3.

LOUISIANA

The House Prefiling Deadline is March 4.

MISSISSIPPI

The Second Chamber Committee Deadline is March 1.

MISSOURI

The Senate Introduction Deadline is March 1.

OKLAHOMA

The First Chamber Committee Deadline is March 3.

RHODE ISLAND

The Revised House Introduction Deadline is March 1.

UTAH

The Crossover Deadline is March 1.

Session will adjourn March 4.

VERMONT

Town Meeting Week will take place from February 28 through March 4. The legislature will be out during this period.

VIRGINIA

March 2 the last day for each house to act on Budget Bills and revenue bills of the other house and appoint conferees.

WASHINGTON

The Second Chamber Committee Report Deadline for House Fiscal Committees, Senate Ways and Means, and Senate Transportation is February 28.

The Second Chamber Passage Deadline is March 4.

WEST VIRGINIA

The Crossover Deadline is March 2. This does not include budget or supplemental appropriation bills.

WYOMING

The Crossover Deadline is March 1.

The Joint Conference Committee Budget Deadline is March 4.

ARIZONA

On February 28, the Goodyear City Council will discuss and receive an overview regarding short-term rentals in the city.

CALIFORNIA

On February 28, the City Council of Culver City will discuss the adoption of a resolution amending the design and development standards for installation of wireless facilities in the public rights-of-way related to their preferred placement pursuant to the Municipal Code.

COLORADO

On March 2, the Durango City Council will consider an ordinance providing for the regulation and governing of fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances within the city by adopting the "2018 Edition of the International Fuel and Gas Code."

CONNECTICUT

The Joint Committee on Labor and Public Employees will hold a hearing on March 3 regarding Connecticut HB 5245. This measure allows employees to sue employers on behalf of the state after having waived their personal rights to sue by signing forced arbitration agreements.

KANSAS

The House Committee on Taxation will hold a hearing on March 1 regarding Kansas SB 327. This measure amends an existing statute relating to sales or selling prices in regard to delivery charges.

RHODE ISLAND

The House Health and Human Services Committee will hold a hearing on March 3 regarding Rhode Island HB 7245. This measure requires pharmaceutical drug manufacturers, pharmacy benefit managers, and health benefits plan issuers to report an annual report detailing costs and spending in relation to prescription drugs.

TENNESSEE

The House Education Instruction Subcommittee will hold a hearing on March 1 regarding Tennessee HB 2153. This measure creates a requirement for students to take a computer science course as a requirement in public schools and requires schools to provide computer science courses at no extra cost to students.

The Senate Commerce and Labor Committee will hold hearing on March 1 regarding Tennessee SB 602. This measure requires newly constructed or renovated buildings that are open to the public to contain at least one restroom containing a powered, height-adjustable, adult-sized changing table.

TEXAS

On February 28, the Alamo Heights City Council will discuss and take possible action on a resolution on intent to establish a Property Assessed Clean Energy program.

VIRGINIA

The House Committee on General Laws Subcommittee #5 will hold a hearing on February 28 regarding Virginia SB 391. This measure regulates marijuana and edible and smokeable hemp.

WASHINGTON

On February 28, the Spokane City Council will discuss a resolution adopting the Clean Fuel Infrastructure Reserve Plan and establish a reserve account.

Legislative Process Analyst

Tyler serves as a Legislative Process Analyst in the Legislative Division. Before joining Stateside, Tyler pursued an internship with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus’s political arm Building Our Leadership Diversity Political Action Committee (CHC BOLD PAC). Leading up to the 2020 election cycle, Tyler served as a research assistant to Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and participated in a fellowship with former Congressman Joe Cunningham’s reelection campaign. Tyler graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in political science concentration in race, gender, and ethnic politics.

Where do you call home? I’m from Norwich, Connecticut 

How long have you worked at Stateside? I’ve worked at Stateside for about 5 months 

What’s the last show you binge-watched? The last show I binge watched was Game of Thrones 

What’s one thing on your bucket list? One thing on my bucket list is to participate in the Camino de Santiago, an ancient 30-day pilgrimage through Spain that ends at the Cathedral of Santiago in Galicia

What was your first job? My first job was helping to build pools in the summer for my dad’s small business 

What’s your favorite food? My favorite food is cheeseburgers 

What’s your favorite sport to watch (or play)? My favorite sport to watch is football
