DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

The Housing and Executive Administration Committee will hold a hearing on November 21 regarding B 802. This measure establishes the Office of Social Housing Development to oversee affordable housing project development.

NEW YORK

The New York City Council will meet on November 21 to consider a local law amending the Administrative Code in relation to establishing a battery safety certification for powered mobility device mechanics. The Council will also consider a bill that would require the posting of lithium-ion battery safety guides in places of business and online retail platforms that sell powered mobility devices.

NORTH CAROLINA

The Union County Board of Commissioners will meet on November 21 to consider amendments pertaining to setback concerns and make changes to the table of allowed uses regarding radio or television broadcast towers and wireless telecommunication facilities.

OREGON

The Eugene City Council will meet on November 21 to consider an ordinance prohibiting fossil fuel infrastructure in new low-rise residential buildings.

WASHINGTON

The Tacoma City Council will meet on November 22 to consider an ordinance amending various chapters of the Municipal Code in Title 1, relating to Administration and Personnel, Title 6, relating to the Tax and License Code, and Title 16, relating to Cable Systems, Open Video Systems, Telecommunications Systems and Private Communications Systems for protection against discrimination based on an individual’s actual, potential, perceived, or alleged pregnancy outcomes.

The Legislative Task Force on Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Premiums will meet on November 22 to review draft proposals and make final recommendations regarding the PFML actuarial report. The report includes funding, contribution rates, and claims.
