CALIFORNIA

The Calabasas City Council will meet October 10 to consider the introduction of an ordinance regulating the use of plastic straws, stirrers and cutlery.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

The Committee on Business and Economic Development will hold a public hearing October 9 regarding B. 22-904, which provides that by January 1, 2020, the Department of Motor Vehicles shall issue rules revising the calculation of the vehicle excise tax such that the fee amount shall be applied as either an increase or decrease to the excise tax amount.
