The House Business Affairs and Labor Committee will hold a public hearing April 17 regarding HB 1306, which requires a business to notify the office of economic development of any plans to terminate customer service employee positions and employees who are employed by or work on behalf of a call center in those positions in the state and relocate the duties of those positions outside of the United States.

The Joint Committee on Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services will hold a public hearing April 17 regarding LD 1499, which creates the State Prescription Drug Affordability Board of members with expertise in health care economics or clinical medicine to determine the reasonableness of the costs for certain prescription drug products.

The House State Government Committee will hold a public hearing April 16 regarding HB 1181, which requires notification of a breach from the entity where the breach occurred to the affected consumer, including the date the breach occurred, the type of information subject to the breach, a toll-free number and the address of credit reporting agencies.

The House Insurance Committee will hold a public hearing April 16 regarding HB 1010, which removes language that gives the Commissioner of Health discretion over approving generic drugs or directing any person or entity that issues an insurance policy to make payments generic drugs.
