STATE AND LOCAL HIGHLIGHTS

FLORIDA

The Board of Education will hold a public hearing and accept comments until May 22 regarding proposed amendments to a rule concerning career and technical education and adult general education standards and industry-driven benchmarks.

LOUISIANA

The Board of Medical Examiners will accept comments until May 21 regarding proposed amendments to its regulations addressing physician practice requirements concerning telemedicine.

MASSACHUSETTS

The Department of Energy Resources will accept comments until May 24 regarding proposed amendments to rules concerning renewable portfolio standards.

MINNESOTA

The Legislature is scheduled to adjourn sine die May 20.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

The House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee will hold an executive session May 21 regarding SB 226, which requires all individuals or organizations to register with the Insurance Commissioner to operate as a pharmacy benefits manager in the state.

OHIO

The Board of Pharmacy will hold a public hearing May 20 regarding proposed amendments to the rules governing drug compounding.

OREGON

The House Committee on Energy and Environment will hold a work session May 21 regarding SB 247, which requires that operators of beverage container redemption centers register with the State Liquor Control Commission and pay a registration fee.

The Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources will hold a public hearing May 21 regarding HB 2883, which prohibits food vendors from using polystyrene containers in selling, offering for sale, serving or dispensing prepared food to the public.
