TRANSACT Tech San Francisco to Examine the Impact of Software Providers on the Payments Industry

The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) will bring together executives from leading banking, payments and FinTech companies on November 1, 2018 for TRANSACT Tech San Francisco at the Wells Fargo Connections Center. The event will explore how software services are changing the way key ecosystems players – processors, banks and hardware manufactures – serve merchants and channel partners.

The day-long conference will kick-off with a fireside chat with Secil Watson, Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Solutions for Business at Wells Fargo. “Customer expectations are changing rapidly, and pace of change in technology is accelerating.” said Watson. “Yet we still have cash and checks. What can we learn from today’s customer experiences to build a better payments ecosystem for tomorrow?”

Additional sessions and speakers will include:

  • The Future of Payments – Taking the Long View will address the future of payments as banks and processors contemplate expansion beyond merchant services, featuring Irv Henderson, CEO, talech; and Andy Dresner, Head of Payments Strategy Group, JPMorgan Chase & Co; Brian Mahony, Chief Strategy Officer, Elavon.

  • Data and the Business Owner with Peter Shenk, Director of Partnerships, Womply; Brad Hawley, Executive Director, JPMorgan Chase & Co.; and John Waldman, Founder & CEO, Homebase, will explore how the effective use of data can serve a multitude of purposes in the payments industry.
  • The Future of P2P Payments will consider the opportunities of P2P products for merchants and consumers with Amy Zirkle, VP Industry Affairs, ETA; Jamie Armistead, VP, Zelle; and Vikram Modi, Senior Business Leader, Visa; Carol Grunberg, Head of Key Accounts, Ant Financial.
  • Investing in Payments includes veteran investors discussing payments trends with Dan Rosen, Commerce Ventures; Sean Minnihan, Nomura Global; and Tommaso Zanobini, Deutsche Bank.
