LINK is planning to cut ATM interchange below the amount set by their transparent annual cost evaluation.  The UK ATM network published an internal-only consultation paper with a planned implementation date of April 2018.

ATMIA and other industry and financial inclusion parties have raised concerns about the impact this will have on ATM availability and public access to cash.  Tthe Treasury Committee has now stepped in to request detailed plans from LINK on how it will monitor resulting ATM closures to ensure public access to cash and financial inclusion.

The issue is a key topic in the media.  A few links are given below for your further reading, and items are being added to the ATMIA Library on a regular basis (key words ATM interchange).
