Update From Sofia Sadiq – Europe November Newsletter

I am very excited to report that ATMIA returned this year with its flagship Europe event in the fabulous city of Berlin and what a wonderful success the ATM & Payments Innovation proved to be!

Over 200 ATM and payments professionals gathered for ATMIA Europe’s flagship event, which was packed with exciting content, learning, and networking. 

The ATMIA team assembled an A-list of speakers for this event to discuss industry topics, trends, technology and more! 

In the two days of the Summit, attendees took part in a number of interesting and topical presentations, were able to exchange thoughts and ideas with German banks and credit unions, in addition to banks from other European markets and the world’s major independent ATM deployers.

Independent ATM Deployers, equipment manufacturers and service providers revealed to an excited audience the innovations that will make ATMs and cash even more cost effective and secure for everyone.

The Summit's emphasis on innovation was underlined by a meeting of the ATMIA-led Next Generation ATM Architecture. Lonnie Talbert, our new CEO, led the discussions with members on how to define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a future Next Gen ATM implementation project in Germany, focused on emergency cash at ATMs.  We also had our first face-to-face Europe Board Meeting introducing Lonnie and myself, to the Members of the Board.

So, with the success of the Europe event behind us, our attention will now turn to organising the speaker programme for the ATM & Payments Innovation Summit 2023, set to take place in the vibrant city of Dublin, Ireland.
