Visa and Swedbank invest in subscription management platform Minna

Friday, May 17, 2019

Company: Visa, Inc

Launched in 2016, Minna began life as a consumer app that lets people manage their subscription services - utilities, telecoms, streaming services.

The firm has since pivoted and has been busy striking deals with the likes of Swedbank and Danske to integrate the technology directly into banking apps. Users see all their subscriptions in one place, can cancel any unwanted ones with a click and find and switch to more suitable suppliers.

The new funding will be used to ramp up staff numbers and pursue partnerships outside of the Nordics into the rest of Europe.

Joakim  Sjöblom, CEO, Minna, says: "This investment round makes it possible for us to scale up and execute on our European  expansion plans. As many European banks have started to embrace fintech partnerships, we have seen a dramatic increase in the interest of our subscription management platform.

"Our current bank partnerships have proved that subscription management is well received by banking customers and that it is an essential part of digital banking."
