What’s going on here? New Carlo's Bake Shop cake ATM at Square One in Mississauga

Cake lovers, rejoice! You can now get gourmet cake slices with the push of a button and a swipe of a credit card at Square One Shopping Centre.

The new Carlo's Bake Shop Express ATM comes from the cake boss himself, Buddy Valastro, whose New Jersey bakery was the star of the hit TV show, Cake Boss. It aired on TLC from 2009-2017. 

Valastro’s ATMs premiered in Toronto last fall and saw many customers patiently line up and wait for their turn to buy a slice. The ATMs were such a hit that they were usually emptied after the daily lunch rush. 

Now, Mississauga has their first express kiosk, which will soon be selling full cakes, according to Square One.

The self-automated ATM is stocked daily to ensure freshness and quality slices, featuring classic Cake Boss flavours like cookies and cream, red velvet, carrot and rainbow fudge, among others.

Slices sell for $9.99 and are best enjoyed at room temperature. The ATM is located on level one near the Urban Planet and Sleep Country stores.
