Session 8: Business Driven Threat Modeling

Traditional approaches to threat modeling typically focus only on the actor, TTPs and subsequent attack chain. Having this visibility is a force multiplier for defending your assets but omits a critical component in an environment where we cannot deploy everything we need, everywhere we need, at the time it is needed. We will discuss how leveraging operational meta data from your business coupled with traditional tactical intelligence can guide you in making high ROI risk mitigation decisions.  Understanding adversary analysis and attack chain dissection. Determining which controls to consider for risk mitigation and leveraging MITRE ATT&CK. Real world logic for deploying logical controls to address risk in a phased approach to maximize ROI.

Session 10: ATM Physical Security: Tales from the front lines

Proactive measures and a tactical response approach are knocking out ATM crime on a global scale.  Since ATMs contain and dispense large sums of money, they are at constant risk for crime.  This session discusses the variety of tactics criminals use to steal the cash, ranging from physically damaging the ATM to installing malware designed to compromise the system - and how these tactics are being thwarted.  Learn about the overall state of ATM security and fraud; who the criminals are and what methods they use; as well as an overview of security options and countermeasures.
