As these technologies evolve, so too must exchange, monetary, and payment systems. This is the origin of the name of our event, Payments Evolution Summit – The Americas (PES).

As a society today, it is very difficult to define what money is, or what a medium of exchange is, or what its value is. Is it a physical medium, a digital medium, an algorithm, or a unique human characteristic like biometrics associated with a social credit score system?

The Summit aims to be an important catalyst to help determine the future of payments, how they impact society, questioning existing payment systems, the roles that each organization or institution must play to aspire to ecosystem efficiency and be part of the exchange.
