Global ATM Benchmarking Study - Second Round

The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) and Value Partners Management Consulting (Value Partners) are conducting the second round of the ATMIA's global ATM benchmarking survey for ATM operators, both banks and independent ATM deployers. This benchmarking service was successfully launched and executed across 2011 and 2012 with participation from over 40 top tier ATM operators from across the globe.

The second round of this study will focus on key areas of cost within the ATM estate management value chain:

  • Revenue models
  • Cash management
  • Transaction management
  • ATM performance monitoring
  • Estate management
  • Fraud, crime and dispute management.

Mike Lee CEO of ATMIA said "We are delighted to announce round two, it will enable more participants to measure and improve their business performance against the best operators in the world as well as compared to the global industry average. Participants who took part in round one can now also monitor their year-on-year improvement for each of our industry metrics."

"As the ATM becomes a central pillar for self-service transactional banking, it is vital that ATM operators are able to contrast and compare their operations, costs and service offerings on a global scale", he added.

Francesco Burelli, Partner at Value Partners said "This an initiative from ATMIA which enables ATM operators to compare key performance metrics against peers and best-performers, and establish if there are routes to costs savings and areas with room for operational improvements.
