View ShowroomA common ploy used by ATM criminals, especially if they need access to the inside of your ATM cabinet, is to dress-up like service personnel. Sometimes they will announce themselves – sometimes they will just start “working on the ATM”.
If they announce themselves, direct them to check-in with security or a manager on site, and present a photo ID. If staff simply discovers them “working” on the ATM, ask who they checked in with, and request a photo ID. Snapping a photo with your phone is also not a bad idea, if you have any reason to be suspicious.
