Chief Executive Officer
Mike Lee joined ATMIA in 2000 and was tasked with setting up ATMIA Europe. In June 2003 he founded the Global ATM Security Alliance. He has also established chapters in Australia, South Africa and Asia. In 2004, he won ATMIA’s member-voted award for Best Contribution to Promoting the Interests of the ATM Industry.He was promoted to CEO in 2005. Mike has a Master of Arts degree from the University of Cape Town, as well as post-graduate qualifications in education and theology. Mike is a qualified futurist with an MPhil degree in Futures Studies (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch business school in Cape Town. He is married with two teenage daughters.
Global Director, Finance and Member Services
Sharon Lane joined ATMIA in May of 2003, in the accounting capacity, and was promoted to her current position in 2005. Sharon’s responsibilities include the association’s financial management, human resources and membership services to just under 5,000 members worldwide. As Global Director, Finance and Member Services she guarantees that the values of ATMIA emerge stressing the importance of retention of current members and caring for their needs in the industry, in addition to helping new members with their needs. Prior to joining ATMIA, Sharon taught QuickBooks classes at Killian College; worked at First Bank as a Trust Conversion Specialist; Accounting Manager for a medical clinic and served as President of her Church.
Director of Conferences & Sponsorships
Dana Benson began planning ATMIA events in 1999 and is the Director of Conferences. She is responsible for overseeing and budgeting of the conferences, venue selection, marketing, event logistics, sponsorship/booth sales. Dana watches the overall profitability of each ATMIA Event and ensures that a quality experience is provided to all attendees, exhibitors and sponsors. Prior to joining ATMIA, Dana was the Marketing Director for the Sioux Falls Family YMCA.
Executive Director, USA, Latin America
As Executive Director for the USA and Latin America Chapters, David Tente brings over 30 years of experience in IT sales and business development to ATMIA. This includes not only expertise with ATM solutions and strategy development, but also 13 years in the payments industry. Much of his career has revolved around helping payment solution developers make better use of emerging technologies. Most recently, David worked directly with banks and credit unions to help transition in-house payment systems to an outsourced (SaaS) model. He also led initiatives to grow both Financial Institution and customer acceptance of automated deposit solutions for the ATM. That role required close interaction with FI’s, network providers, card issuers, core system vendors, and payment processors; as well as widely dispersed internal resources. David resides in the Orlando, FL area and is married, with three adult children.
Executive Director, Europe
Originally from Edinburgh in Scotland, Ron Delnevo has lived in London for many years. After gaining experience at Board level at a number of companies, Ron created UK Independent ATM Deployer Bank Machine in 2003.He led the company until 2012, delivering exceptional customer service and double-digit annual revenue growth .Having served as Chair of the European Board of the ATM Industry Association for four years, in March 2014 Ron took up the role of Executive Director Europe for the ATMIA. Ron has a special focus on supporting choice in payment methods.
Executive Director, Asia Pacific
Sandra Smith joined ATMIA in 2006, as Marketing Manager and has recently been promoted to Executive Director for Asia Pacific.
Sandra has been involved with the marketing of ATMIA membership for Australia and the Asia Pacific region. She is also involved with industry issues specific to the Australian market and handles member's enquiries.
Before joining ATMIA, Sandra worked for Mitsubishi Australia and was involved with the international marketing of chemicals.
Sandra has studied marketing and business at Monash University.
Executive Director, Canada
Curt Binns joined ATMIA January 2, 2011. For the past three years he has been an independent consultant in large firms within the financial service sector, mainly providing outsourced services for major banks.
Prior to consulting Curt spent 30 years working for major foreign owned banks in senior management roles. His responsibilities included both retail delivery and operations. Curt worked in several provinces of Canada from East to West Coast. His previous employers have sent him to places such as Hong Kong and India to seek out opportunities for expansion.
Post secondary education took place at Trinity Western University and University of Alberta, where Curt obtained A Fellowship in the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
Curt now lives in the Greater Toronto Area with his wife and close to his adult children.
Executive Director, Africa, India and Middle East
Andrew Dean is the founder and Managing Director of Calleo. A specialist research and advisory firm in the multi-channel payments and banking industries in sub-Saharan Africa.Founded in 2010 Calleo provides bespoke research to card associations, banks, payment solution providers and merchants.
Andrew is also co-founder of PaymentsAfrika.com, a news sharing site for retail banking and payments interest areas across Africa.
He has also established the Retailer Payments Forum in South Africa which serves the interests of large traditional brick and mortar retailers as they strive to multi-channel payment acceptance strategies.
Andrew holds a degree in Business Management, Cum Laude from UNISA (University of South Africa) and was previously qualified as a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
Prior to founding Calleo, Andrew was Director at a consulting and research firm in the business telecommunications sector.
Andrew has been actively involved in developing insight into the South African and pan-African consumer focused markets.
Web Development & IT Manager
Eric joined the ATMIA team in April 2013 as Website Development & Information Technology Manager. Prior to joining ATMIA, Eric was the Director of Digital Development for Lawrence & Schiller and has 24 years of web and IT experience. Eric is responsible for the development and maintenance of new and existing functionality for the website as well as hosting and email services.
Membership & Social Media Manager
Amber Howell joined ATMIA in 2005 as a Marketing Assistant, was promoted to a Marketing Manager in 2006, then Website Content & Social Media Manager in 2012, then Training, Web Content & Social Media Manager in 2014 and finally Membership & Social Media Manager in 2016. She focuses on marketing of ATMIA, webinars, membership and social media. Prior to joining ATMIA she has worked within the Banking Industry for 5 years.
Event Business Manager – US, Canada, Africa
Brita Price joined the ATMIA team in 2012 as Finance and Events Assistant. She was most recently promoted to Event Business Manager of US, Canada & Africa in April 2017. She is responsible for managing event registrations, speakers and marketing of ATMIA events. Prior to joining ATMIA, Brita worked in sales and marketing for Coca-Cola.
Membership Manager, Europe and Emerging Markets
Erika joined ATMIA in February 2012 and was responsible for supporting the conference division of ATMIA Europe. She was promoted to Membership Manager in 2016 and now she focuses on new members and account management for Europe, Africa and Asia. She has over 10 years’ experience in the events management industry. Prior to this role, she worked as a Business Development Manager for a couple of the UK’s biggest conference companies.
Conference Director – Exhibitions and Sponsorships - EMEA
Reena has worked in Events and Conferences for over 15 years. Reena started her career at Accenture working on events for the Financial Services which she continued within the Legal sector. Reena has a degree in Business and Psychology and majored in Events Marketing, which she is very passionate about. Reena enjoys running and has completed the London Marathon in 2009.
Conference Director – Europe, Middle East & Asia
Mary joined the ATMIA team in May 2017 as Events Business Manager for Europe, Middle East & Asia and was recently promoted to Conference Director for the same regions. Mary’s responsibilities include end to end event planning, organisation of logistics, managing the events on site, managing event registrations, speaker management and marketing of ATMIA’s events in her regions.
Previously Mary worked for 11 years at Reconnaissance International as Senior Conference Manager, a position which fulfilled her passion for travelling and allowed her to work within a diverse range of cultures. When not at work Mary enjoys spending time with her family enjoying the beautiful countryside of her home location in the East of England.
Event Sales Manager – US, Europe. Security, Australia and Canada
Hope joined ATMIA in 2017. Prior to joining ATMIA Hope spent 17 years selling advertising and sponsorships for a number of payment publications. She was involved in launching new brands as well as turning around struggling properties. Hope worked closely with editorial, production, circulation and distribution departments to ensure product delivery and proper cost estimating. She was responsible for identifying and executing all industry trade shows/event partnerships which included ATMIA.
